Located at 47 St Benedict's Street, the appearance of the yard (pictured in 1937) somewhat belies its regal name. As with so many other yards it was named after the neighbouring local pub. Athough the hostelry closed its doors in 1913 the yard bearing its name has survived. The ten poperties at the far end of the yard were demolished in 1939, but the view on George Plunkett's 1937 photo is still recognisable today.
